Getting to Know the Impact Platform

Once you’ve been approved as an affiliate on the Impact Platform, your home base will be your Impact.com dashboard. We recommend taking a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the platform when you’re first approved so that as you launch into promoting one or more Automattic brands, you’ll notice new data, messages, and notifications.

Here is a step-by-step process for getting started with promoting Automattic brands.

Your dashboard allows you to see all of Automattic’s brands at a glance, today’s earnings, total pending transactions, and the balance in your account. You can also see details of any advertiser you work with on Impact’s network.

• At the top navigation bar, you’ll find options to search for new brands, create reports, search for ads and tracking links to host on your content, and manipulate your account’s financial settings. 

• In the left navigation bar, you can find a tracking link for any of the brands you are partnered with, as well as messages from brands, and notifications from Impact. 

Start creating content for one or more of Automattic’s products by grabbing promotional links and banners. 

• You can grab links on the right of your dashboard where it reads “Create and Share Link” by clicking “Create.” You can paste a URL from any of the supported Automattic brands including WordPress.com, Pressable, WooCommerce, and more, into your promotional content.
• Alternatively, you can find links in the welcome email you receive when you are accepted into the Automattic Affiliate Program. Your welcome email will include tracking links for each brand you’re approved to promote.  
• Banners for each brand can be found at the top menu “Content,” and then “Assets.” From there you can filter by tags representing each brand, or search for a keyword.

• Check for current promotions to highlight in your affiliate content. You can find any currently active promotions for Automattic’s brands by selecting the dropdown menu under “Content,” and then “Deals,” in the top navigation bar.
• Make sure to add Automattic as a contact in your email platform so that you’ll receive every Automattic Affiliate Program newsletter. Newsletters arrive via email and keep affiliates up-to-date about important promotions that occur throughout the year. Staying on top of promotions will allow you to maximize your effectiveness as an Automattic affiliate.
